ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued orders declaring 05.10.2014 (Sunday) as General Holiday on
the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha).
2) In the reference 2nd read above, the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board, Hyderabad, has
recommended to declare the General Holiday on the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) on 06.10.2014
(Monday) instead of 05.10.2014 (Sunday) and Optional Holiday on the occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer on 14.10.2014
(Tuesday) instead of 13.10.2014 (Monday), as per moon sight.
3) In the references 3rd to 5th read above certain Bank Unions have represented to declare a General Holiday/Public
Holiday on 06.10.2014 (Monday) on the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) instead of 05.10.2014 (Sunday) as
General/Public Holiday.
3) The Government, after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to change the General/Public Holiday
on the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha) to 06.10.2014 (Monday) instead of 05.10.2014 (Sunday) Accordingly,
the following notification is issued and shall be published in the extra-ordinary Gazette of Telangana State:
NOTIFICATION
In partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.5237, General Administration (Poll.A) Department, dated
29.11.2013, notifying the Holiday under Negotiable Instrument Act 1881 for the year 2014, the Government hereby
declare Holiday on 06.10.2014 on the occasion of Baqar Eid Festival (Eid-ul-Azha), in addition to Sunday on 05.10.2014
defined as Public Holiday in the said “EXPLANATION” hereby notify that 06.10.2014 (Monday) to be observed as a Public
Holiday in Telangana State during the year 2014.
