Division of GCGTA to form separate bodies for telangana and andra pradesh

Dear Members,
I am delighted to inform you that
the Association fulfilled one of its long cherished dream of bringing out ‘A
compendium of Govt. Orders’ for the period 1998-2014. An earnest attempt has
been made to include all relevant G.Os, Proceedings, Memos, Clarifications etc.,
issued from time to time by the Govt. as well as the Commissioner of Collegiate
Education. Though it is not exhaustive, we have incorporated all relevant
documents pertaining to teachers in Collegiate Education.
The book releasing ceremony was held
on 27-05-2014 at Jawaharlal Nehru Fine Arts and Architecture University
Auditorium, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. Sri. Ajay Misra, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt. (Higher
Education) was the Chief Guest and released the book. Smt.K.Sunitha, IAS,
Commissioner of Collegiate Education was the Guest of Honour and Sri. Ashok
Barman, General Secretary. All India Federation of University and College
Teachers’ Organizations (AIFUCTO) was the special invitee of the occasion. The
Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour complimented the General Secretary and the
Association for their sincere efforts in getting many G.Os during these four
years in a conciliatory manner. Sri Ashok Barman, General Secretary AIFUCTO
pointed out that the compendium is a landmark achievement. He lauded the
efforts of the General Secretary, GCGTA in bringing out many G.Os and became a trendsetter to other Govts.
I appeal to all District Office
bearers and Unit Office-bearers to motivate members to posses copies. The price
of the book is Rs.600/- (a discount of 10% is extended on each copy). I invite
suggestions from the members to improve upon it and bring out a Revised edition
with necessary inclusions or changes.
I congratulate and thank the Convenor
M.Madhusudhana Rao, Former Associate President and Dr.NVN Chary, Secretary,
Warangal Dist and AR.Chandra Sekhar, Secretary, Chittoor Dist. who have taken
great pains to give the book a concrete shape.
Felicitation to Sri.J.Rama Murthy, General
Secretary who retired from Service on 30-04-2014
After
the book releasing programme, felicitation to Sri.J.Rama Murthy, General
Secretary who retired from service on 30-04-2014 on attaining the age of
superannuation was held. Sri.Ajay Misra, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt. (Higher
Education) Smt.K.Sunitha, IAS, Commissioner of Collegiate Education and
Sri.Ashok Barman, General Secretary AIFUCTO felicitated the General Secretary and
lauded his services to the Association. Sri.S.D.Subba Reddy, Former General Secretary,
GCGTA, Sri J..Ratna Prabhakar, General Secretary, GCTA, Sri.G Mallikarjuna Rao General
Secretary, ACTA and many District and unit office- bearers from all the 23
districts attended in a large number and felicitated the General Secretary. I
thank all those who graced the occasion and showed their affection.
General Council Meeting on 28-05-2014
The last General Council Meeting of
our Association in the combined State of AP was held on 28-05-2014 at Indira
Priyadarshini Govt. Degree College (W), Nampally, Hyderabad. Sri.K.Naresh
Kumar, President presided over the meeting Sri.N.Siva Sankar, Chairman, Sri S.
Krishnaiah, Finance Secretary and District Presidents/Dist Secretaries from all
the Districts attended the Meeting.
I am happy to inform you that during
the last four years, i.e., from April 2010 to May 2014, we have succeeded in bringing
many G.Os, Memos, Clarifications. etc.,
I have listed then in the General Secretary’s report and request all the
members to note that what best we have done is due to your cooperation only.
At the same time, some of the issues
are pending with the Govt. I am confident that the new Govts. would consider
our just demands and issue favourable orders at the earliest.
The Finance Secretary,
Sri.S.Krishnaiah, presented the Income and Expenditure Statement. The deficit
is due to non-enrollment of members for the year 2013. I request all the Dist
Secretaries/Presidents to convince the members, and pay their membership amount
for the year 2013 so as to clear off the deficit.
The council unanimously resolved to
form two separate units of GCGTA for AP and Telangana, in view of the reorganization
of the State. Representatives from the respective States assembled and
unanimously elected the following as office-bearers till elections are held
which are due in August, 2014

the Two Telugu speaking States. I assure you, all as Vice-President, AIFUCTO
that I shall continue to cooperate to
improve the service conditions of teachers working in Govt. Degree Colleges in
the two States so as to impart quality education to students pursuing higher
education in Govt. Colleges and lay a strong foundation to prosper in all
fields in the respective States.
